Product edit failure message

There are several reasons why a product edit might fail.
If a "Failed to save" message appears, please check the following items first.

What to check when editing fails

  1. Duplicate option values

    1) Check if the entered option values are duplicated with existing ones, and modify them to avoid duplication.
    2) If there are duplicate values, the product cannot be edited.

  2. Whitespace

    1) Check if there is whitespace at the beginning or end of an option value, and remove it before saving.
    2) If option values contain whitespace, the product cannot be edited.

  3. Supplier

    1) Check if the supplier assigned to the product was deleted and is no longer selectable.
    2) If the product is assigned to an invalid supplier, it cannot be edited.

  4. Mismatched option values

    1) Check if the option values and the variant names match exactly.
    2) After adding option values, make sure corresponding variants are also added.

  5. Invalid characters in option names or values

    1) You cannot enter the following characters in option names or values: , (comma), ; (semicolon), " (double quotation mark), \ (backslash), or special characters like # $ %.

Caution

If you need to use units such as inches (") in option values, use two single quotation marks ('') instead of a double quotation mark (").
