Connecting domains

You can easily connect a domain you already own to your store—whether you purchased it through Cafe24 or from another provider. 

1. Connecting a domain you already have

To connect a domain you already own to your store, follow the steps below:
 

  • STEP 1
    Go to Settings>General>Store profile and click Change domain.

  • STEP 2
    Click the Connect button under Existing domain to go to the Connect existing domain page, then enter the domain you want to connect in the search field.

  • STEP 3
    Select the store to connect to the domain.
    If you have multiple stores, you can select only one.
    If you have only one store, the domain will be connected to the default store.

    • If your domain is not using Cafe24’s name servers, connecting the domain may not work properly.
      For domains purchased from other providers, update the name servers from your domain registrar.

    • If you purchase a domain from Cafe24, the name server configuration and domain connection are applied automatically.
      This allows you to manage domains conveniently without additional setup.

2. Connecting a new domain

You can connect a newly purchased domain to your store.
If you have only one store, the domain will be automatically connected after purchase.

Domains can be purchased in 1-year increments using a combination of letters, numbers, and hyphens (-).
You can purchase a domain directly from the admin.

    • STEP 1
      Go to Settings>General>Store profile and click Change domain.

    • STEP 2
      Click Buy under New domain to go to the Buy new domain page, then enter the domain you wish to purchase.

    • STEP 3
      Select the domain you want and click Buy.

      • If the domain is already registered by another user, it will be marked as Unavailable.
        In that case, try another domain.

 

  • STEP 4


Enter the registrant information. If you select Use the registrant informaton for Domain manager, the registrant details will automatically be used as the domain manager's information.

  • Registrant name: Must match the legal ID (e.g., insurance card, driver's license, etc.)
    After registration, changes can only be made through Customer Support.
     
  • If you do not receive the verification email, check your spam folder or try verifying your email address again from the admin panel.
     
  • STEP 5
    Select the store to connect to the domain and click Connect.
     
  • If you skipped the connection step, go to Settings>General>Store profile, click Change domain, click Connect under Existing domain to complete the connection.
    Check the domain status, and if it's unconnected, click Save to connect it to your store.

Maximum number of domains that can be connected

  • You can connect up to 2 domains for free.
  • You can check the number of domains available for connection:
    2 × number of multi-language stores + number of domains currently in use
