Multi-language stores

You can create, manage, and operate multiple stores in English or Japanese with a single account (ID).

Setting up multi-language stores

To add multi-language stores and configure their settings, go to Settings>Channels>Multi-language store.

 

What is a multi-language store?

Create multi-language stores with the same design and features of the default store to grow your brand globally.

  • You can create stores in English or Japanese at no cost.
     
  • Product information from your default store can be translated and displayed in your multi-language stores, so customers around the world see the same products in their preferred language.
     
  • You can run up to 15 stores for free under a single account.

 

Adding a multi-language store

Click the Add store button, then select a language and currency to automatically create a global store.

  1. Language (Required)
    The language of the default store is set to the language selected during signup.
    You can create multi-language stores in English or Japanese.
    The language of a multi-language store cannot be changed once it is created.
     
  2. Store name (Required)
    This is the internal name used to manage the multi-language store and is not shown on the storefront.
    You can change the store name after registration.
     
  3. Payment currency
    Set the currency customers use to place orders and make payments.
    All prices in the store will be displayed in the selected currency.
    The default store uses the currency selected during onboarding, and you can set a different currency for each multi-language store.
    You cannot change the payment currency once an order has been placed.
     
  4. HTTPS settings
    Enable HTTPS redirect to improve the security of domains connected to your store.
     
  5. Activation status
    If set to Inactive, the store will not appear in the Multi-language store switcher at the top left corner of the admin panel.
    However, the store can still be accessed by directly entering the domain provided by Cafe24.

 

 

Caution

Important notes when adding a multi-language store
 

  • The default store cannot be deleted.
     
  • The language and currency of the default store cannot be changed.
     
  • A multi-language store cannot be set as the default store.
     
  • The language of a multi-language store cannot be changed, and the payment currency cannot be modified once an order is placed.

 

Managing multi-language stores

You can manage your multi-language stores in Settings>Channels>Multi-language store.
You can also view the product, order, customer, and design status of each store by selecting a store from the multi-language store switcher at the top of the admin panel.

Editing and deleting stores

  • Click the store name to update its settings.
     
  • The default store cannot be deleted, and other multi-language stores cannot be designated as the default store.
     
  • If any orders or sales have been recorded in the selected payment currency, you cannot change the currency.
