Japan - Specified Commercial Transaction Law regulations
This law is designed to prevent illegal acts by sellers and malicious consumer solicitation practices in sales formats prone to consumer disputes, such as door-to-door sales and internet sales, while protecting consumers. When selling goods or services on online websites, you must post 'Notation based on the Specified Commercial Transaction Law' on your site. Even for sole proprietors, basic information such as business name, address, and phone number must be provided.
