Want to run bargain sales or free gift promotions like those at department stores or supermarkets in your own store?
You can add and configure incentives such as scheduled discount, repeat purchase discount, bulk purchase discount, customer account discount, new product discount, free gift with purchase, Buy 1 Get N, and more.
Basic settings

To add a price discount, select Discount.
To provide a gift with purchase, select Gift.

You can choose an incentive category based on the incentive type you selected.
Check the categories below.

Click Load existing incentive in the upper right to open a popup.
In the popup, you can select a previously added incentive and use its information to add a new one.
1) Discount
- Scheduled discount: Offers a discount when customers purchase products during a specified period
- Repeat purchase discount: Offers a discount when customers purchase the same product or variant a specified number of times or more
- Bulk purchase discount: Offers a discount when customers purchase the same product or variant in a specified quantity or more
- Customer account discount: Offers a discount when customers at a specific level purchase products
- New product discount: Offers a discount when customers purchase newly added products
- Shipping fee discount: Discounts the shipping fee charged on orders that include eligible products
- Korean store: Default/supplier/per-product shipping fees are discounted for free. You can choose whether to include regional shipping fees. (Shipping fee discounts do not apply to international orders, Naver Pay, or marketplace integrations.)
- Overseas store: All shipping fees are discounted for free. (Default/supplier/per-product shipping fees, international shipping insurance, international additional charges, regional shipping fees, and more.)
2) Gift
- Free gift with purchase: Provides a free gift when customers purchase products
- Buy 1 Get N: Provides N additional products when customers buy 1
The quantity of Buy 1 Get N products cannot be changed in the cart.
Note
- To use the free gift with purchase incentive, set Use free gift feature under Settings>Promotions>Customer incentive settings.
- You can set the free gift selection method under Gift selection stage.
Caution
- Even when you load information from an existing incentive, you must re-enter Product scope, Incentive details, Coupon usage scope for Discount, and Product scope, Purchase price range, Free gift settings for Gift.
Condition settings
1. Discount
1) Scheduled discount
- Period: Set the period during which the discount runs.
- Active on: Set where the discount applies [PC/Mobile/App (Plus App users only)].
- Eligible customers: Select who can receive the discount. When you select Customer, you can apply the discount by customer level.
2) Repeat purchase discount
- Active on: Set where the discount applies [PC/Mobile/App (Plus App only)].
- Eligible customers: Since previous purchase history must be verified, this discount can only apply to customers.
- Product scope: Specify or exclude the products this incentive applies to.
- Number of purchases: The incentive is provided based on the number of repeat purchases of the same product or variant.
Note
- When Product is selected, the number of purchases is counted based on the purchased product.
- When Variant is selected, the number of purchases is counted based on the variant of the purchased product.
3) Bulk purchase discount
- Active on: Set where the discount applies [PC/Mobile/App (Plus App users only)].
- Eligible customers: Select who can receive the discount. When you select Customer, you can apply the discount by customer level.
- Product scope: Specify or exclude the products this incentive applies to.
- Quantity: The incentive is provided based on the purchased quantity of the same product or variant.
4) Customer account discount
- Active on: Set where the discount applies [PC/Mobile/App (Plus App only)].
- Eligible customers: The discount applies to customers only. You can enable or disable the incentive by customer level.
- Product scope: Specify or exclude the products this incentive applies to.
5) New product discount
- Active on: Set where the discount applies [PC/Mobile/App (Plus App users only)].
- Eligible customers: Select who can receive the discount. When you select Customer, you can apply the discount by customer level.
- Product scope: Specify or exclude the products this incentive applies to. When you select Exclude category from incentive, the incentive is excluded from products in the selected categories.
- New product settings: Set the criteria and the period during which products are considered new.
- By day: Considers the hour and minute of the product's registration, edit, or display date.
- By hour: Considers the minute of the product's registration, edit, or display date.
- Example: When set to 1 day from the product's registration date - Registration date: 2018-01-11 12:30:00, Incentive period: 2018-01-11 12:30:00 - 2018-01-12 12:30:00
6) Shipping fee discount
- Period: When set to On, you can select the period during which the shipping fee discount applies.
- Active on: Set where the discount applies [PC/Mobile/App (Plus App users only)].
- Eligible customers: Select who can receive the discount. When you select Customer, you can apply the discount by customer level.
- Product scope: Specify or exclude the products this incentive applies to.
- Incentive threshold: When set to On, Order subtotal applies based on the total product purchase amount before any discount (sale price ± variant additional fee).
Caution
- When the incentive threshold is set to Off, the shipping fee is always discounted regardless of the order amount.
- When multiple incentives with the same conditions (other than this setting) are running, the incentive added first applies.
2. Gift
1) Free gift with purchase
- Period: Set the period during which the gift is provided.
- Active on: Set where the gift applies [PC/Mobile/App (Plus App users only)].
- Eligible customers: Select who can receive the gift. When you select Customer, you can apply it by customer level.
- Product scope: Specify the products or categories this incentive applies to, or exclude specific products.
- First purchase only: The gift is provided only on a customer's first purchase. This applies only to customers regardless of payment cancellations. (Even when Customer+Guest is selected, the gift does not apply to guests.)
- Purchase price range: The free gift is provided only within the specified amount range. The calculation varies based on Free gift calculation scope under Settings>Promotions>Incentive settings.
2) Buy 1 Get N
- Period: Set the period during which the gift is provided.
- Eligible customers: Select who can receive the gift. When you select Customer, you can apply it by customer level.
- Product scope: Specify the products or categories this incentive applies to, or exclude specific products. You can also apply it to specific products only.
- Product selection: Only regular products can be set, excluding set products, add-on products, and related products.
Note
- You can stack this with products that are eligible for a discount.
- When the product's sales quantity settings such as purchase units, minimum order quantity, or maximum order quantity are applied, the Buy 1 Get N settings take priority.
- You cannot add products that have additional fees per option. If you edit the per-option additional fee after adding the product, it is treated as 0 at checkout. Use caution when running the promotion with products that have additional fees per option.
- The Buy 1 Get N settings do not apply to products with product-linked options.
Incentive details
1. When the incentive type is Discount
1-1) Incentive category: Scheduled discount, Repeat purchase discount, Bulk purchase discount, Customer account discount, New product discount, Shipping fee discount
Incentive details: Set the discount amount or discount rate for products.
Discount_Percentage off
- When No truncation is selected, amounts below the decimal point are rounded down automatically.
- When customers purchase the same variant, the discount rate applies to the total product purchase amount. When customers purchase different variants, the discount rate applies to each variant's price.
- Example: When a 10,000 KRW product has a discount of 7% discount, rounded up to the nearest 100 and 5 units are purchased:
- Discount before rounding: (10,000 × 5) × 0.07 = 3,500 KRW
- Discount after rounding: 4,000 KRW
- Total product purchase amount: 50,000 - 4,000 = 46,000 KRW
- The actual discount amount may be 0 depending on the sale price. After setting up the incentive, check the final discounted price of the products receiving the incentive.
Discount_Amount off
The way the discount applies depends on the incentive category and quantity-related settings.
Example 1)
- Incentive category: Scheduled discount, Customer account discount, New product discount
- Discount: 2,000 KRW discount
- When a customer orders 2 of variant A and 1 of variant B:
- By quantity: Variant quantity (3) × 2,000 KRW = Total discount of 6,000 KRW
- Regardless of quantity: 2,000 KRW applies per variant = Total discount of 4,000 KRW
Example 2-1)
- Incentive category: Repeat purchase discount, Bulk purchase discount
- Discount: 2,000 KRW discount when purchasing 2 to 3 items by Product
- When a customer orders 2 of variant A and 1 of variant B:
- By quantity: Product quantity (3) × 2,000 KRW = Total discount of 6,000 KRW
- Regardless of quantity: 2,000 KRW discount applies only once regardless of the product quantity
Example 2-2)
- Incentive category: Repeat purchase discount, Bulk purchase discount
- Discount: 2,000 KRW discount when purchasing 2 to 3 items by Variant
- When a customer orders 2 of variant A and 1 of variant B:
- By quantity: Variant A quantity (2) × 2,000 KRW = Total discount of 4,000 KRW
- Regardless of quantity: 2,000 KRW discount applies only once to variant A, regardless of variant quantity
Restricting coupon use?
- Restricting coupon use may cause disputes with customers who use coupons. Inform customers in advance that coupons cannot be used.
- Confirm that the coupon can be restricted without causing any issues before you do so. Cafe24 is not responsible for any issues arising from an admin's failure to follow this.
1-2) Incentive category: Shipping fee discount
- Include regional shipping fees: This is shown only when the incentive category is Shipping fee discount. When set to Include, regional shipping fees are also discounted along with the shipping fee discount.
2. When the incentive type is Gift
2-1) Incentive category: Free gift with purchase
Free gift settings: Click Add product on the right to add the free gifts to provide.
- Only regular products can be set as free gifts. (Set products cannot be selected.)
- When the gift issuance type is Auto-issued, only products without options can be selected.
- When the gift issuance type is Customer-selected, products with options can be selected. Points deducted apply per free gift.
- In Incentive settings, set Free gift settings>Gift selection method to Multiple selection. Purchase point deduction and maximum selection quantity features apply.
- When the maximum selection quantity is not entered, the maximum quantity is treated as unlimited.
- The display order of free gifts may be shown together with other free gift incentives, so the order is randomized. (The display order cannot be set separately.)
- When a purchased product is the same as a free gift, the purchased product is not provided as a free gift. To provide the same product as a free gift, use the Buy 1 Get N incentive.
- A free gift is not provided when its stock quantity is 0 or less. Set the stock quantity to a positive number before use. (Set under Edit product>Inventory management.)
2-2) Incentive category: Buy 1 Get N
- Incentive details: When a customer buys 1, they receive the set quantity as additional free items. Except for 1 item, the sale price of the remaining quantity is set to 0. Products can only be purchased in multiples of the set sales quantity.
- Example: For a 10,000 KRW product, selling 3 at the price of 1 → Customers can purchase 3 for 10,000 KRW, 6 for 20,000 KRW, 9 for 30,000 KRW, and so on.
Note
- When Product is selected, counting is based on the purchased product.
- When Variant is selected, counting is based on the variant of the purchased product.
Icon settings
- You can set an icon to appear next to the product names that receive the incentive.
- The icon display period is the same as the incentive period.
- Icon settings are available only after configuring the theme.
