Using Facebook Channel

Facebook Channel is a service that allows you to manage all Facebook-related services, including Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger, in one place.
Once you connect the channel with a single Facebook login, you can use channel settings and Shops for free.

  1. Go to Facebook Channel.
     
  2. Click the Log in with Facebook button on the right and log in with your Facebook account.
     
  3. Click Channel settings on the left, then follow the Facebook setup steps to complete the process.
     
  4. The channel settings screen will change.
    You can now set up and use Facebook-related services.

 

 

Note

Things to keep in mind when using Facebook Channel
 

  • Check the following before using Facebook Channel.
     
  • You must have a Cafe24 store, a Facebook account, and an Instagram Business account.
     
  • We recommend using a Facebook account linked to your Business Manager account.
    This allows you to connect and manage everything at once.
     
  • Instagram Shopping can only be created from an Instagram Business account.
     
  • You can use this service on the Chrome browser. 
     
  • Click About Shops to see the features available for creating and using Shops in Channel settings.
     
  • Once channel settings are complete, you can access other menus.
    You can now manage Shops settings, ad settings, basic features, domain verification, advanced features, Pixel/Conversions API events, and product feed.

  1. If this is your first time setting up the channel, follow these steps:
     
  2. Click Channel settings.
    Confirm your Facebook account and click Next.
     
  3. You can choose from Facebook Ads, Facebook Shop, and Instagram Shopping.
    Make your selection and click Get started.
    • Facebook Ads - Connect Business Manager, ad account, catalog, Pixel, and other components needed for Facebook advertising.
    • Facebook Shop - Select this to create a Shop on Facebook.
      A Commerce account will be created, and you can easily set up your Facebook Shop.
    • Instagram Shopping - Select this to create Instagram Shopping and set up an Instagram Shop.
       
  4. Select a Business Manager and click Continue.
    If you don't have a Business Manager account, click Create new to create one.
     
  5. Select Connect Facebook Page and click Continue.
    If you don't have a Facebook Page, click Create new to create one.
    Your Facebook Shop will be created on the selected Page.
     
  6. Select the Instagram profile you want to connect and click Continue.
    You can only select an Instagram Business account.
    If you don't have an Instagram Business account, click Add profile to create one and select it, or click Skip connecting to Instagram to skip this step.
     
  7. Select a Catalog and click Continue.
    If you don't have a catalog, click Create new to create one.
    A catalog is where your store's product information is stored.
     
  8. Select an Ad account and click Continue.
    If you don't have an ad account, click Create new to create one and select it, or click Skip connecting to Ad Account to skip this step.
     
  9. Select a Facebook Pixel and click Continue.
    If you don't have Pixel information, click Create new to create one.
     
  10. Enter a Commerce account name in Create Commerce account.
    Choose either Checkout on Facebook and Instagram or Checkout on your website and click Continue.
     
  11. In Confirm Commerce account, select your Commerce account and click Continue.
     
  12. In Confirm settings, review your selections.
    If everything looks good, click Continue.
     
  13. Select Access permissions for your Instagram account and click Next.
     
  14. Review the permissions granted to the Cafe24 app.
    Set all to Yes and click Next.
     
  15. Select Website domain and click Continue.
    Your store will be connected to Facebook through the Cafe24 app.
    Click Done.
     
  16. Confirm that Commerce account setup is complete.
    Click Submit for review.
     
  17. Check the completion screen.
    Click Done to complete channel settings.
     
  18. Set up Facebook product categories.
    Match your store's product categories with Facebook product categories.
    Once categories are matched, your store's products will be synced.
    You can manage them in Product feed.

 

Facebook Shops settings

Create and manage your Facebook Shop and Instagram Shopping.

  • Click the Settings icon on the right side of Shops settings.
    After authenticating your account, you can add and edit Facebook Shop and Instagram Shopping.
     
  • When Facebook Shop and Instagram Shopping are active, they will display as Enabled.
    Click Customize Shops to go to Facebook Commerce Manager where you can make changes.

 

Ad settings

Connect your ad account and use ad management features.

  • Click the Settings icon on the right side of Ad settings.
    After authenticating your account, you can add and edit your ad account.

 

Basic features

Check and manage the basic features configured to use the channel.

  • Click the Settings icon on the right side of Basic features.
    After authenticating your account, you can add and edit Business Manager/Ad account/Catalog/Facebook Page/Pixel settings.
     
  • View the account configured in Business Manager.
    Click Go to Business Manager.
    You'll be redirected to the Facebook Business Suite admin screen for convenient management.
     
  • View the Facebook Page configured in My Page.
    Click Go to Page.
    You'll be redirected to your configured Facebook Page.
     
  • View installed Pixel information.
     
  • View the number of products synced to the Catalog and the last update time.
    Click Go to Product feed to go to Marketing channels>Facebook>Product feed URL.

 

Domain verification

Domain verification is required to smoothly use services such as Facebook Shops, Instagram Shopping, and event tracking.
Verify or remove domains.

  • If your primary domain is not configured, click Verify.
    This will automatically configure your store's primary domain.
     
  • To cancel verification after configuring your primary domain, click Remove.
    This will remove the configured primary domain, the meta tag inserted in the website, Business Manager, and domain ownership.

 

 

Note

Domain verification

  • When you click Verify, the system will automatically retrieve and connect the primary domain addresses of each Multi-language store registered in Settings>General>Domain settings.

 

 

Pixel/Conversions API events

Configure how to send event conversion data such as add to cart and purchases to Facebook.

  • Configure browser/server events.
    Select Browser or Browser + Server, then click Save.
     
  • Browser sends events through Pixel (browser).
    It's configured automatically once channel settings are complete.
    It cannot be disabled.
     
  • Browser + Server sends events through Pixel (browser) + Conversions API (server).
    Events are sent directly from Cafe24 servers to Facebook servers.
    It's configured automatically once channel settings are complete.
    It can be disabled.
     
  • Shows data accuracy.
    When Browser + Server events are configured, data accuracy displays as High.
     
  • Shows Pixel (browser) event types and Conversions API (server) event types.

Pixel/Conversions API events 

  • Shows Pixel (browser) event types and Conversions API (server) event types.
    Cafe24's Facebook Channel provides not only Pixel (browser events) but also Conversions API (server events) for more accurate data transmission.

 

Product feed settings

Manage individual products to sync with the Facebook Catalog.
Optimize your Facebook product feed by sending additional data such as Facebook product categories, gender, and age group.

  • Shows whether Facebook product category settings are enabled.
     
  • Click Settings to go to the Facebook product category configuration screen.
    Match your store's product categories with Facebook product categories.
    Click Apply to product feed to complete the matching.

 

Managing product feed

Manage products synced to the Facebook Catalog and optimize your Facebook product feed.

  • View products by Catalog approval status.
    Click the tabs at the top: All, Not synced, Approved, Pending, or Rejected.
     
  • Select individual products and click Edit.
    Configure Facebook category, gender, and age group, then click Save at the top.
    The configured data will be sent to optimize your Facebook product feed.
     
  • Click Go to Catalog.
    You'll be redirected to Facebook Commerce Manager.
    View synced products in Catalog products.
     
  • Click a product name to go to Products>Product list.
    The clicked product will be displayed.

 

Managing ads

When you create ads in Facebook Channel, you can build them with just a few key details tailored to your campaign objective.
This is faster and easier than creating ads by setting up campaigns, ad sets, and ads in Facebook's Ads Manager.

  1. Go to Facebook Channel>Ads and click Create ad.
     
  2. Select your campaign (ad) objective in the popup window.
     
  3. Configure ad settings and select a payment method to create your ad.
