Boards

You can check the list of default boards provided by Cafe24 that are currently displayed on your store. You can change the display order of the boards or update their detailed settings.

 

Manage board list

On the [Admin] Boards > Board management page, you can choose which boards to display on your store or change their order.

 

Change board display order

You can set the display order of boards shown in your store menu.

  • Select a board and use the up/down arrows to move it, or enter the order number directly.
  • The lower the number and the higher the position, the higher the board appears in your store.
  • After changing the board order, click [Save] to automatically realign the display order numbers.

 

Default boards

Boards provided by default from Cafe24 are marked as 'Default' under board type. 13 boards are provided by default, and all of them are available for free.

 

Additional boards

You can add and use more boards after applying for the board service (paid) under add-on services. Added boards are marked as 'Additional' under board type.

 

Board details

On the [Admin] Boards > Board management page, click a 'Board title' to open the detailed settings page for each board.

  • Board information
    • You can configure detailed board items such as whether to use the board, board title, and how the board is displayed in your store.
    • Available settings vary by board type/category, so configure them according to each board's operating policy.
  • Design composition
    • You can set the board title color, notice icon, and more.
    • For the top section of the board list, you can upload your own custom image.
    • Available design settings vary by board type/category, so configure them according to each board's operating policy.

 

Common settings for board information

 

1. Board display

If [Use board] is set to 'Do not use', the board cannot be accessed even if [Display] is set to 'Display'.

 

2. Set post title

When this feature is used, customers cannot enter a separate title when creating a post. They must select one of the items set by the admin. If 'Fix post titles to the format set by the admin' is selected, you can configure up to 10 formats using the variables below.

  • MEMBER_NAME (Customer name), CATEGORY_NAME (Product category name), PRODUCT_NAME (Product name), BOARD_NAME (Board name), QUESTIONER_NAME (Author name of the original question post)
  • When a variable is used, the corresponding name is automatically displayed on the store screen.
  • The variable 'QUESTIONER_NAME' can only be used in reply posts.
  • If [Author protection] is set to 'Use', MEMBER_NAME and QUESTIONER_NAME are saved as is in the title when a post is created. Please keep this in mind when configuring.

 

3. Set post input form

When this option is set to 'Use', you can configure the input form customers use when creating posts.

  • To use HTML tags in the post input form, 'Use HTML tags' must be selected for it to be applied to your store.
  • Excessive use of HTML may cause errors on store pages.
  • Available HTML tags: <b><i><u><font><marquee><h1><h2><h3><h4><h5><img><span><div><p><br>

 

4. Set list view type

Two list view options are provided for boards: image view and list view. Customers can choose the list view type themselves.

 

5. Product details > Posts per page

For boards whose category type is 'Product', you can set the number of posts displayed on each page.

 

6. Category feature/edit

When this feature is set to 'Use', you can configure sub-categories for each board. When a category is deleted, posts previously assigned to that category will be moved to the 'All' category, so use this feature carefully.

 

7. File attachment

When this feature is set to 'Use', customers can attach files to posts on the board. The file formats below cannot be uploaded.

  • ph, inc, lib, html, htm, php, php3, php4, phtml, phps, in, cgi, pl, shtml, jsp, exe, mp1, mp2, mp3, mp4, rm, ram, wma, wav, mid, midi, ogg, au, dcf, aif, aiff, m3u
  • For gallery boards, only image files can be uploaded. (Supported extensions: jpg, jpeg, gif, png)
  • Up to 5 files can be attached per post.

 

8. Attachment file size limit

You can limit the size of files that can be attached when creating a post. The attachment file size can be set up to a maximum of 10 MB.

 

9. Author recommendation

You can limit the number of recommendations per post. For store members, the limit is based on their member ID, and for guests, it is based on their IP address.

 

10. Use rating

The rating feature can only be set for 'Board ID 4 (Default board title: Product reviews)'. Even if 'Use' is selected for other boards, ratings cannot be entered.

 

11. Display rating on detail page

Ratings can be displayed only on product detail pages.

 

12. Private post

Only the admin and those who know the password can view the post.

 

13. Lock all posts as private

You can set all posts to be created as private without giving customers the option to choose between public and private.

 

14. Private comment

Other customers and guests, except the one who wrote the comment, must enter a password to view it. To use this feature, you need to update the design according to [Notice/News] Upgrades > '[Board management] Added private comment feature for boards'.

 

15. Display author email

When this feature is set to 'Use', clicking the author's name opens an email composition pop-up for both customers and guests. Regardless of this setting, if you are logged in as an admin or if the author is a customer, the customer details pop-up is shown.

 

16. Author display

You can choose to show the author's 'name' or 'nickname' in the author field of the board. To apply this to all boards at once, go to [Admin] Store settings > Customer settings > 'Sign-up · Login > Sign-up items' and configure the 'Nickname' item under 'Additional information'.

 

17. Author protection

When this feature is set to 'Use', only part of the author's name is shown in the author field, or a replacement text is displayed. However, the admin can still view the author's name or nickname.

  • E.g., Show only some characters: Hong****
  • E.g., Show replacement text: Customer

 

18. Display submission date

You can set the post's submission date and time to be displayed. The submission time is shown on the post detail screen.

  • E.g., Year format 1: Displayed as 2018-01-01
  • E.g., Year format 2: Displayed as 18.01.01
 

Caution - Can I change the submission date of a post?

  • Modifying a post's submission date at will may violate the E-commerce Act.
  • For this reason, we do not provide this feature. Please note that we cannot process such requests even if submitted separately.

 

19. Allow duplicate views

When this feature is set to 'Use', post views are counted as duplicates regardless of IP address.

 

20. Show write button on list

When this feature is set to 'Display', the [Write] button appears on the board list page. For admins, the [Write] button is always shown regardless of this setting.

 

21. Display member level icon

When this feature is set to 'Display', the member level icon is shown next to the author. Member level icons can be registered under [Admin] Store settings > Customer settings > 'Member policy settings > Member levels'.

 

22. Comment author display

You can choose to show the 'name' or 'nickname' in the comment author field. To apply this to all boards at once, go to [Admin] Store settings > Customer settings > 'Sign-up · Login > Sign-up items' and configure the 'Nickname' item under 'Additional information'.

 

23. Comment author protection

When this feature is set to 'Use', only part of the comment author's name is shown, or a replacement text is displayed. However, the admin can still view the author's name or nickname.

  • E.g., Show only some characters: Hong****
  • E.g., Show replacement text: Customer

 

24. Admin approval

When this feature is set to 'Use', only posts approved by the admin are published on the store. Posts that have not been approved are hidden from the board. If a post contains sensitive information, please use the 'Private post' feature separately.

 

25. Update submission date when moving posts

When a post is copied or moved, you can choose whether to update the submission date.

 

26. Auto save

You can set a warning pop-up to appear, prompting the user to save, when the author tries to leave the screen while writing a post. The warning pop-up is displayed as a separate pop-up on the store's post submission screen.

 

27. Expand list on product detail page

  • If 'Collapse' is selected, the post content is shown only when the post title is clicked.
  • If 'Expand' is selected, the titles and content of up to the 15 most recent posts are shown expanded. Posts beyond that are shown in list view. (Page loading speed may slow down when this feature is used, so configure with care.)

 

28. Set [View all] button link

You can set the destination path that opens when customers click the [View all] button on the product review board shown on the product detail page.

 

29. Display product information on reply posts

You can set whether to display product information on reply posts in 'Product reviews', 'Product Q&A', and 'Product forum' boards. If 'Display' is selected, the product details button is automatically shown on reply posts in these boards. Clicking the button takes customers to the product page related to the post or reply.

 

30. Show related product reviews

You can show reviews of the same product below the product review details. If there is no HTML variable in your smart theme, the value set in the store admin is applied. If there is an HTML variable, the list is displayed using the value entered for the HTML variable.

 

31. Display images

You can set whether to display images from attachments in the post body. This feature applies only to PC screens; on mobile, images are always displayed.

 

32. List image resize dimensions

When the gallery board's list view type is set to image view, you can adjust the size of images shown in the list. When the list image resize dimensions are changed, the new size applies only to images uploaded after the change.

 

33. [Gallery board] Disable automatic resizing

When selected, for gallery boards, "Attachment 1 (for list)" is displayed at its original size in the list, but the image width may be resized to a maximum of 1280 px. The "Attachment 1 (for list)" image is not displayed on the detail page.

 

34. [Gallery board] Automatic resize dimensions (unit: pixel)

When selected, the image is resized to the configured size when cropping is applied, then cropped to match the original image's ratio. For gallery boards, when "Attachment 1 (for list)" is uploaded, the list automatically shows it resized to the configured value. If you set a value larger than the original image's size, resizing is not applied.

 

35. Set post publishing

You can set publishing/syncing for original and reply posts.

  • If 'Apply to original posts only' is selected, the publish/unpublish setting applies only to original posts.
  • If 'Apply to both original and reply posts' is selected, the publish/unpublish status of reply posts follows that of the original post.

 

36. Show most-viewed posts

If 'Use' is selected, the most-viewed posts are shown at the top of the board's main screen.

 

37. Show most-recommended posts

If 'Use' is selected, the most-recommended posts are shown at the top of the board's main screen.

 

38. Instant points reward

You can set up the option to instantly grant points after reviewing a post on the post detail page.

  • If 'Show give points button' is selected, the [Give points] button appears next to the post author's ID on the post detail page. Clicking the button opens a screen where you can review the customer's points information.
  • The 'One-click feature' only works when [Admin approval] and [Give points] features are used together. You can publish the customer's post while granting points at the same time.

 

39. Additional write permissions

You can set the type of customer allowed to create posts on each board. If write permission is set to 'Members and above', you must also choose whether to show the [Write] button.

  • If 'Members and above (hidden)' is selected, the [Write] button is shown to both guests and members.
  • If 'Members and above (shown)' is selected, the [Write] button is not shown to guests.
  • If 'Check purchase history' is selected, only customers with purchase history can create posts. You can also set detailed write permissions by order status. (Note: Returns are not included in write permissions.)
  • Reviews can only be written within 90 days.

 

40. List title length

You can set the list title length under [Title character count] on the [Design composition] tab.

 

41. Use HTML tags

You can set whether HTML tags can be used in titles, content, and comments. Excessive use of HTML tags may cause errors on store pages. Please refer to the list below for the HTML tags you can use.

  • Title: <b><i><u><font><marquee><h1><h2><h3><h4><h5><img><span><div><p><br>
  • Comments: <b><a>

 

42. Spam post settings

You can set up methods to prevent the registration of spam posts.

  • Block specific users from posting: When a blocked customer tries to create a post, a message such as 'You cannot create a post' is displayed. Please note that the customer will be able to tell that they are blocked.
  • Auto-generated spam prevention: To prevent spam posts or comments from being registered automatically, customers must enter a CAPTCHA code. When using Google reCAPTCHA v3, spam posts can be blocked through separate verification without entering a CAPTCHA code. For Google reCAPTCHA configuration, please refer to the board-related settings.

 

43. SEO settings

You can configure individual settings for boards and posts so that they can be crawled and ranked by search portals such as Naver and Google. This can be configured for all 12 boards except '1:1 personalized consulting'.

  • Browser title: Title
    • The title is displayed at the top of the internet browser. It corresponds to the title shown in search portal results.
    • It is best to write it concisely so it clearly conveys the page's content.
  • Meta tags
    • Author: You can specify the name of the page or site author.
    • Description: This is the summary of the board shown in search engine results. It is best to write it as 12 sentences or a short paragraph.
    • Keywords: It is best to use keywords frequently searched by users or keywords related to the board.

 

Individual settings for board information

 

1. Search by product category

This can be set for Product Q&A, Product reviews, and Product forum boards. Set whether to use post search by product category for registered products. When set to 'Use', a product category search/filter is shown below the corresponding board in your store. Using this feature, customers can search for product Q&A posts related to products matching certain criteria.

 

2. Expand list on product detail page

This can be set for Product Q&A, Product reviews, and Product forum boards. You can set whether the product Q&A board list on the product detail page is expanded.

  • If 'Collapse' is selected, only the post title is shown in the store. Click the title to view the post content.
  • If 'Expand' is selected, the title and the content are shown together.

 

3. Set [View all] button link

This can be set for Product Q&A, Product reviews, and Product forum boards. You can set the page that opens when customers click the [View all] button on the product detail page.

 

4. Display product information on reply posts

You can set whether to display product information on reply posts for Product Q&A, Product reviews, and Product forum boards. When set to 'Display', the product details button is automatically shown on reply posts in these boards. Clicking the button takes customers to the product page related to the post or reply.

 

5. Show related product reviews

This can be set for Product Q&A, Product reviews, and Product forum boards. You can show reviews of the same product below the product review details. If there is no HTML variable in your smart theme, the value set in the store admin is applied. If there is an HTML variable, the list is displayed using the value entered for the HTML variable.

 

6. Comment paging

This can be set for 12 of the 13 free boards, except for the 'Memo' board. This feature lets you display comments on specific posts page by page. When set to 'Use', once a certain number of comments are registered per page, additional comments move to the next page.

 

7. Comments per page

This can be set for 12 of the 13 free boards, except for the 'Memo' board. When comment paging is set to 'Use', you can specify how many comments are displayed per page. The set number of comments is shown per page on the actual store's board.

 

8. Number of comment pages displayed

This can be set for 12 of the 13 free boards, except for the 'Memo' board. You can specify how many pages are displayed on the store screen.

 

9. Limit product reviews by product

You can prevent product reviews from being written for specific products.

 

10. Product search

Click to open the [Product search] pop-up, where you can search and select the products you want to restrict reviews for.

 

11. Report post

You can set up a feature that lets customers report advertisements or offensive posts on the Product reviews board to the store operator.

 

Board design composition

 

1. Board title color

You can set the color of the board title. This feature can only be applied when [Title image] is set to 'Do not use'.

 

2. Post list settings

You can limit the maximum number of characters shown for post titles in the 'list'. Each post title can be up to 256 bytes.

 

3. Menu image

To use this feature, additional design settings are required.

 

4. Title image

If 'Do not use' is selected, the board title is displayed as text instead of an image.

 

5. Title image on main screen

If 'Do not use' is selected, text is displayed instead of an image. For title images applied to the main screen, please check the board's main display position and upload an image sized to fit that position.

 

6. Notice icon

If 'Use' is selected, the uploaded icon is displayed instead of the 'Notice' text.

  • When a multi-language store is created without separate configuration, the icon registered for the base store is applied to the multi-language store as well.
  • After creating a multi-language store, individual settings can be configured once you access the design editor at least once.
  • If the file name contains special characters, spaces, or characters in languages other than Korean/English (excluding numbers), the file may fail to upload, so use caution.
  • Attachments must be in GIF/PNG format and cannot exceed 10 KB.
  • The icon size is limited to a maximum of 80*20 px.

 

7. Pinned post icon

If 'Use' is selected, the uploaded icon is displayed instead of the 'Pinned' text.

  • When a multi-language store is created without separate configuration, the icon registered for the base store is applied to the multi-language store as well.
  • After creating a multi-language store, individual settings can be configured once you access the design editor at least once.
  • If the file name contains special characters, spaces, or characters in languages other than Korean/English (excluding numbers), the file may fail to upload, so use caution.
  • Attachments must be in GIF/PNG format and cannot exceed 10 KB.
  • The icon size is limited to a maximum of 80*20 px.
