Setting up home screen shortcuts

1. Go to Store preferences>Website>Features>Shortcuts.
   
   
2. Select Enable.
   
   
3. Check your current Primary domain.
   
   
4. In Banner, enter the name to display for the shortcut.
   
   
5. In Splash screen, enter the text and select the colors to display on the splash screen.
   
   
6. Upload the icon image to use for the shortcut.

Checking the domain in use

• The shortcut uses the primary domain set in Store preferences>Website>General>Domain settings.
   
• Home screen shortcuts are not available on pages that don't use 'https://'.
   
• If you change your primary domain, set up forwarding from the previous domain to the new one so customers who installed the shortcut with the old domain can still reach your store.

Using the splash screen

The splash screen is an app-like start screen that appears when customers open your store from the home screen shortcut.
It's displayed for about 2 seconds before moving to the main page.

• Safari on iOS does not support splash screens.
   
• The splash screen can be set to one of 2 styles: mobile full screen or mobile top bar.
